Betting Experts Tracking the Cleveland Browns Super Bowl Odds in Week 4

Fact Checked by Wes Roesch

Key Takeaways:

  • The Browns Super Bowl odds are +2200 according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
  • Using implied probability, the Cleveland Browns have a 4.3% chance to win Super Bowl LVIII in the 2023-24 season.
  • The Browns' current Super Bowl odds are the 10th-shortest in the NFL.

The Browns rebounded from a brutal loss in Week 2 with a feel-good win in Week 3 that featured the best game of quarterback Deshaun Watson's career as well as big performances from receiver Amari Cooper and running back Jerome Ford, who has filled in for Nick Chubb after he suffered a season-ending knee injury in the previous week. The defense also continued their torrid start to the season and has dominated in all of the Browns' first three games.

Even though the Browns won in Week 3, their Super Bowl odds remain unchanged from the previous week. This is likely because the Titans are one of the least-formidable opponents the Browns will play this season, particularly in the earlier part of their schedule, which is full of matchups against strong teams. The Week 3 win, however, could look better if the Browns also play well in upcoming games against the Ravens and 49ers.

All Super Bowl odds will fluctuate throughout the regular season. We'll keep you updated on the latest Browns playoff chances and Super Bowl odds once the regular season kicks off.

Browns Super Bowl 58 Odds: September 30, 2023

The Browns' Super Bowl odds are +2200 per DraftKings Sportsbook Ohio. They have the ninth-shortest Super Bowl odds among 32 NFL teams. Below, you can find the Browns' odds to win the Super Bowl, AFC, AFC North, as well as their odds to make or miss the playoffs via DraftKings:

👑 Odds to Win SBLVIII+2200
🏆 Odds to Win AFC+1000
Odds to Win AFC North+195
🔥 Odds to Make Playoffs-210
Odds to Miss Playoffs+170

At +2200 to win the Super Bowl, the Browns currently own the ninth-shortest odds among all NFL teams, and have the fifth-shortest odds among AFC teams. Converting the Browns’ current Super Bowl odds of +2200 gives them a 4.3% to win Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.

The Browns' +1000 odds to win the AFC Championship are tied for the fourth-shortest in the conference behind the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens both have the same odds as the Browns and are ahead of the Los Angeles Chargers (+1500), Jacksonville Jaguars (+2000) and Pittsburgh Steelers (+2200).

The Browns are projected to finish first in the AFC North with +195 odds to win the division, which is tied with the Ravens.

The Browns have -210 odds to make the playoffs and +170 odds to miss the playoffs. The Browns are considered favorites to win the division and top contenders for a wild card spot if they come up short.

Browns Super Bowl Odds vs. AFC North

The Cleveland Browns (+2200) have the third-shortest odds among AFC North teams to win Super Bowl 58 and trail the Ravens (+2000) and Bengals (+2000). The Browns are one of four teams that have never played in a single Super Bowl. Cleveland hasn't even made it past the divisional round of the postseason since 1989.

The Baltimore Ravens (+2000) are tied with the Bengals for the best odds among AFC North teams and have the seventh-best odds among all NFL teams to win the Super Bowl. Baltimore has appeared in just two Super Bowls in franchise history and won both of them. They have not made it further than the divisional round in any postseason since winning Super Bowl XLVII in the 2012 season.

The Cincinnati Bengals (+2000) are tied with the Ravens for the best Super Bowl odds in the division. Similar to the Browns, the Bengals have yet to win a Super Bowl, but they have made the AFC Championship in each of the last two seasons and represented the AFC in Super Bowl LVI.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (+5000) have the worst odds to win Super Bowl 58 among AFC North teams. Head coach Mike Tomlin ensures the Steelers are a competitive team every year, but Pittsburgh has not won a playoff game since 2016. The Steelers last played in a Super Bowl in 2010, and they last won the Lombardi Trophy in 2008.

The Browns are nearly finished with what could be the most difficult part of their schedule, although they'll still face tall challenges over the next three weeks with games against the Ravens and 49ers, two teams who currently have better Super Bowl odds than the Browns.

The Ravens, however, don't appear to be as challenging as an opponent as they were at the start of the season due to a high number of injuries to their roster. Both of those matchups will also be home games for the Browns, who have an early bye week in Week 5.

Key Contributors Toward Browns Super Bowl Odds

The Browns' hopes of a Super Bowl are contingent on more improved play from Deshaun Watson, who finally showed promise in Week 3 of returning to the Pro Bowl QB he once was, although he'll need to string multiple performances of similar production together for the Browns to boost their Super Bowl hopes.

Watson completed 27 of his 33 pass attempts for 289 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in Week 3, and he was aided by a two-touchdown game from RB Jerome Ford and big day from WR Amari Cooper, who caught seven passes for 116 yards with one touchdown. The Browns need Watson to continue to showing improvement after they lost Pro Bowl RB Nick Chubb for the season after he suffered a gruesome knee injury in Week 2.

Watson's growth will also be dependent on the guidance and game plans of head coach Kevin Stefanski, who is in his fourth season as the Browns' head coach and is searching for his first trip back to the playoffs since 2020. The Browns have since had back-to-back losing seasons, finishing 8-9 in 2021 and 7-10 in 2022. Stefanski currently has +2000 odds to win Coach of the Year in 2023 on DraftKings sportsbook, which is tied with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and Rams head coach Sean McVay for eighth among all coaches.

The Browns are always going to miss Chubb in their backfield, but RB Jerome Ford has produced in his small sample size since Chubb suffered his injury. He has 160 rushing yards from 41 carries this season and scored two touchdowns — one through the air another on the ground — in Week 3. The Browns also plan to fill some of Chubb's role with RB Kareem Hunt, whom they signed last week.

Defensively, All-Pro edge rusher Myles Garrett has continued to be as destructive as any edge rusher in the NFL and added 3.5 sacks to his season total against the Titans. He's third in the league with 4.5 sacks this season and is leading a defense that has been the top group in the NFL to start the year. The defense has allowed just 18 points in their first three games and has surrendered a league-best 163.7 yards per game. Garrett is currently tied with Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt for the second-shortest odds at +380 to win Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Both players trail Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons (+200).

Popular Types of Sports Betting on Browns Odds

In the early parts of the regular season, placing wagers on "future bets" is a very popular. Futures include predicting the Super Bowl winner, AFC and NFC winners, division winners, teams to make the playoffs, win totals, and much more. During the NFL season, bettors in Ohio can wager on individual games with the point spread and team/player props being the most popular bet types in season.

Super Bowl Futures

Super Bowl LVIII will be played on Feb. 11, 2024. Super Bowl odds are already available on all major sportsbooks for all 32 NFL teams. Fans can place a wager on their favorite team to win the Lombardi Trophy during the early stages of the regular season. The Browns currently have +2200 odds to win Super Bowl 58 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Bettors can also place future bets on Cleveland to make (or miss) the playoffs, win the AFC North, or win the AFC Championship.

Prop Bets

A prop bet is a type of wager that you can make prior or during the NFL season that is not tied to the actual final score (or outcome) of a game. Leading up to Super Bowl 58, there will be a plethora of fun Super Bowl prop bets available for NFL fans to place wagers on prior to the big game. Super Bowl prop bets include the length of the nation anthem, the coin toss result, the color of the winnings team's Gatorade, the Super Bowl MVP winner, and so many more.

Point Spread

A point spread (or betting line) shows each team playing in a game with a (+) or (-) handicap. Will the team "cover the spread?" That is the question you need to answer when betting on a point spread. If a team has a (-) point spread, they are the favored team and need to win the game by more than the spread listed. If a team has a (+) point spread, they are the underdog and have to lose by less than the spread listed.

Live Betting

Some sportsbooks offer live betting during NFL games, including the Super Bowl. On apps that live betting is available, bettors can place wagers on a wide range of in-play betting options. FanDuel Sportsbook Ohio has a fantastic platform for live-betting, especially during NFL games. FanDuel offers an easy to use live-betting platform and gives real-time updates on placed bets.

Bonus Bets

Bonus bets are free bets that the sportsbook have credited to the bettor. Instead of using your actual money, you can use the credit received from the bonus bet that the sportsbook offered to you. When using a bonus bet, instead of your own money, it could be a good time to try to hit big on a parlay or lower probability bet with long odds since the bet carries no risk.

Cleveland Browns Super Bowl LVIII Outlook and Predictions

The Browns aren't yet viewed as top Super Bowl contenders in the AFC, but that could change if Watson continues to elevate his game and the defense continues to show dominance. Their Super Bowl projections could see a considerable jump if they're able to win one or both of their next two games against the Ravens and 49ers.

The Browns have just one playoff appearance in the last 20 seasons, and their odds of adding another in 2023 essentially come down to Watson. Cleveland traded three first-round picks, among other draft capital and provided Watson with a $230 million fully guaranteed contract to acquire him from the Texans in 2022. This is Watson's first full season playing since 2020, as he sat out the entire 2021 season with the Texans and then was suspended the first 11 games last year with the Browns. Watson's performance was less than inspiring in his six games played with Cleveland last year, and he still needs to show in consecutive games that he can return to the Pro Bowl QB he was with the Texans.

Cleveland also plays in a tough conference and will have to beat out several strong teams in the AFC, including the Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, Dolphins and Ravens to make it to Super Bowl 58. The Browns have never made it to a Super Bowl in franchise history and have not made it past a divisional round of a postseason since 1989.

Cleveland Browns Super Bowl History

The Cleveland Browns won eight championships (four AAFC Championships and four NFL Championships) from 1946-1964, all prior to the start of the Super Bowl era. Since the Super Bowl's inception in the 1966 season, the Browns have yet to win a Super Bowl, nor have they appeared in one. The Browns have won just five playoff games since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970, and haven't made it past the divisional round of a postseason since the 1989 season.

Have the Cleveland Browns Ever Won the Super Bowl?

No, the Browns have never won the Super Bowl. The Browns won the NFL championship four times prior to the Super Bowl era: in 1950, 1954, 1955, and 1964. The Browns are one of 12 franchises that have yet to win a Super Bowl.

How Many Super Bowls Have the Cleveland Browns Won?

Zero. The Browns won the NFL Championship four times, but they have never won a Super Bowl. In fact, they have never even played in a Super Bowl and have only won five playoff games since 1970. Unfortunately, the Browns have one of the worst histories in the Super Bowl era of the NFL.

Which Years Did the Cleveland Browns Go to the Super Bowl?

The Cleveland Browns have never made it to the Super Bowl. The Browns are one of just four teams that have never played in a Super Bowl (also Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans). Maybe the 2023-24 season will finally be the Browns year to win it all.

How Many Times Have the Cleveland Browns Been to the AFC Championship Game?

The Browns have been to the AFC Championship just three times, which is tied for the fewest such appearances among current AFC teams with the Jaguars (who were not an NFL team until 1995). The Browns played in the AFC Championship three times in a four season span from 1986-1989, but have not made it back since. Cleveland lost to the John Elway-led Denver Broncos in each of their three AFC Championship appearances.
