Can Bengals Become Latest 3-3 NFL Team To Make Postseason?
Fact Checked by Thomas Leary

What started as a season full of promise across Ohio sports betting has hit its fair share of hurdles for the Cincinnati Bengals, who have overcome a series of bumps in the road to enter their bye week with a 3-3 record for the season. Fresh off a Sunday afternoon victory over the Seattle Seahawks, the Bengals enter their bye week with a 3-3 record, having beaten Seattle and the Arizona Cardinals in succession by combined scores of 51-33.

Utilizing ChampsorChumps.us, BetOhio.com looked at how teams ended up the rest of the season after starting with an 3-3 record since the 2012-13 NFL season. There have been 83 teams that have started 3-3 in the last 10 seasons. Last season saw the most 3-3 teams make the playoffs, 6 of 11. The Bengals and 49ers were both 3-3 and made it to the Conference Championship, so don't give up on the Bengals Super Bowl odds just yet.

Can Bengals Make a Dent In NFL’s 3-3 Postseason Woes?

The past decade has not been kind to NFL teams that start the season 3-3 across Ohio betting apps, with just 28.9% of them reaching the postseason since that 2012-13 season. Of those 24 teams, only 10 of them (12%) made it through the Wild Card Round, while five (6%) made it through the Divisional Round of the NFL postseason. So far, zero NFL teams that started the year 3-3 have won the Super Bowl, with one team making it to the Big Game after splitting their first six regular season contests.

While no lines have been released for the Bengals’ next game against the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 29, we do know that oddsmakers from operators like BetMGM Ohio still have the Bengals as favorites to make the postseason.

For now, Bengals players and fans alike can hope that the team’s bye week will come at the right time to allow Cincy to keep up their recent winning ways, so they can excel once they hit the field against a 5-1 49ers team that’s fresh off their first loss of the season.
