Tee Higgins Next Team Odds; Potential Free Agent Destinations

Tee Higgins Next Team Odds; Potential Free Agent Destinations
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

The Cincinnati Bengals (9-8) finished their season winning three of their last five games, highlighted by a 31-14 home victory over in-state rival Cleveland on Jan. 7.

Not too bad when you consider starting quarterback Joe Burrow was out for most of the season due to injury. One of Burrow's key offensive weapons is now a free agent in wide receiver Tee Higgins, who just completed his fourth season in The Queen City.

Will Cincy resign the 58-game veteran or let him start a new chapter? With next season’s Ohio sports betting on the NFL in mind, BetOhio.com broke down the probable odds on where Higgins’ next destination could be?

Higgins Could Return to Bengals

The Bengals know what an important part Higgins is to their offense moving forward, and the thought here is they will resign him at +125 (44.4% chance). However, this season was his least productive in a Bengals uniform with 42 receptions for 656 yards (15.6 yards per catch) and five touchdowns in 12 games played. The previous two seasons he had 74 catches per season with over 1,025 receiving yards.

The New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs are tied for second at +900 (10%). Either team would make sense because each would like to improve on the offensive ends of things. With Patrick Mahomes as the QB in Kansas City, I'm sure he would welcome Higgins with open arms to improve his lackluster wide receiver corp. ESPN BET Ohio lists the Chiefs as 3-point road underdogs in their AFC Divisional game against Buffalo on Sunday.

The Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans are tied for fourth at +1200 (7.7%). The addition of Higgins to either offense would make Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud and Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young very happy and that much better, especially in Charlotte.

With eight teams remaining in the NFL Playoffs, BetMGM Ohio lists San Francisco as the Super Bowl favorite at +175. Baltimore is second at +275.
