Tee Higgins Trade Rumors; Potential Trade Destinations After Trade Request

Just four days after receiving his team’s franchise tag, Cincinnati Bengals fifth-year wide receiver Tee Higgins is reportedly seeking a trade, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

Higgins, the former Clemson star who missed five games last season with an assortment of injuries, had 42 receptions for 656 yards (15.6 yards per catch) and five touchdowns in 12 games played in 2023. The previous two seasons he had 74 catches per season with over 1,025 receiving yards.

The Bengals (9-8) finished their season winning three of their last five games, highlighted by a 31-14 home victory over in-state rival Cleveland on Jan. 7.

Patriots, Panthers Leaders for Higgins

The New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers are the new leaders to land Higgins at +500 (16.7 chance). This is a dramatic change from January, when the Patriots were second on the list at +900 (10%) and the Panthers were fourth at +1200 (77%).

The New York Giants jumped up from a tied for sixth position at +1500 (6.2%) with the New York Jets to now No. 3 at +700 (12.5%) as they continue to look for offensive help for quarterback Daniel Jones.

Fanatics Sportsbook Ohio lists San Francisco as the Super Bowl favorite at +550. Kansas City is second at +650.

On our list to acquire Higgins at No. 4 is Chicago at +900 (10%). The Bears reportedly just landed former Philadelphia running back D'Andre Swift with a three-year, $24 million dollar contract, a move expected to become official when the new league year starts on Wednesday.

Rounding out the top five are Arizona and Tennessee, both new to the list at +1200 (7.7%). The back-to-back defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs fell from tied for second on the list with the Patriots at +900 (10%) to seventh at +1500 (6.2%).
