Trey Hendrickson Trade Odds

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson was not on the field for Sunday’s insert-your-preferred-adjective-here 47-42 home loss to the Chicago Bears. A hip injury that was reaggravated by a blindside shot in the previous week’s 39-38 defeat to the then-winless New York Jets kept him on the sidelines.

Now, it’s possible the last season’s NFL sack leader may have played his final game for the Bengals. Ahead of Tuesday’s 4 pm ET trade deadline, Hendrickson’s name has resurfaced as a candidate to get moved. He’s not the only one, as several on a historically bad Bengals defense have been rumored as the team’s playoff chances appear to slip out of Cincinnati’s grasp, like countless running backs and receivers this season.

Hendrickson will also become a free agent at the end of the 2025 season, so BetOhio.com – your source for all things related to Ohio sports betting – is updating its odds to determine where Hendrickson will play in 2026 with the Bengals struggling at 3-6.

The odds still indicate Hendrickson stays with the Bengals, who gave the All-Pro defensive end a significant raise to end a hold-in just before the season. However, as is the case with many pass rushers over the age of 30, injuries have caught up with Hendrickson. He’s already missed two games, not including the second half of the Jets loss, to injury.

Even with the injury, Hendrickson, who was the No. 14 player in this year’s NFL Top 100, has four sacks and eight quarterback hits.

Health concerns would likely lower the price teams are willing to pay for the four-time Pro Bowler, but the Bengals remain adamant in getting a first-round pick in return. A team like the San Francisco 49ers, who are in a tough fight for the NFC West title, may be willing to part with that, or come up with something the Bengals front office would consider reasonable.

Indianapolis, whose defense is coached by former Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, could also be a landing spot. The Colts have been one of the league’s biggest surprises this season, thanks in part to defense that’s allowing just over 20 points per game.

Hendrickson at one point in the offseason requested earlier this year after initial talks of an extension reached an impasse. However, on Monday, he chose to sidestep questions about whether he’d accept a midseason deal to a playoff contender.

“I stopped doing hopes and all that stuff a long time ago,” Hendrickson said, according to SI.com. “You are where your feet are, and I'm incredibly blessed to be where I am right now."
